Minsk

Minsk plays a vital part not just in Belarus, it’s not about being the capital and largest city of the country, but it is also the capital of the Commonwealth of Independent State (CIS). Mir Castle

Mir Castle is an example of a Gothic Architectural style that was constructed in 16th century. This destination is one of the most interesting castles in Europe, wherein its courtyard is surrounded by five towers with 75 meters square walls on each side. Although the castle has gone through a lot of restorations and renovations, mixed architectural designs from Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance still makes the castle more impressive.

Brest Fortress

Brest Fortress was also given a title of Hero-fortress because of what it has contributed during the German-Soviet war. This destination is one of the most important structures in Brest, Belarus. Brest Fortress was constructed between 1830’s and 1840’s and was sternly damaged during the World War II. Brest Fortress is the largest tourist destination in Brest as of the moment.

National Library of Belarus

National Library of Belarus is shaped rhombicuboctahedron, which makes the structure more eye-catching and attractive to tourists. This destination was established September 1922 and is the third largest of having Russian books, next to Russian State Library and the Russian National Library. National Library of Belarus is being considered as one of the world’s best libraries.

Nesvizh Castle

Nesvizh Castle is one of the most interesting castles in Belarus and most popular tourist destinations in the country. This castle showcases astonishing garden and architectural design that catches tourists’ attention. Nesvizh Castle was the former residence of the Radziwitt aristocrat family in the 16th century.

The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus

The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus is the largest museum in the country and it was established in January 1939. This destination holds over 30,000 Belarusian and foreign arts and it is one of the biggest collections in Eastern Europe. The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus became one of the first museum buildings in the Soviet architecture.

Pripyat Reserve

Pripyat Reserve is one of the four national parks in Belarus and was granted special protection with one third wildlife reserve represented. This overwhelming creation of nature boasts unique swamps and oak woods, and is now one of the most visited destinations in Belarus. Pripyat Reserve is covered by 95% scenic forest and it houses enormous number of wild animals.

Braslav Lakes

Braslav Lakes was set up in September 1995, with a wide number of lakes and large area of pine forests. This destination has a unique ecosystem which consists of primeval nature and unusual landscape. Braslav Lakes carries bizarre beauty as it was named the blue necklace of Belarus.

Belovezhskaya Puscha

Belovezhskaya Puscha is the largest forest in the lowlands of the central Europe and the main attraction in Belarus. This destination plays a key role to Belarus’ ecology and was granted UNESCO Biosphere Reserve status in 1993. Belovezhskaya Puscha is not only famous for its ancient names oak trees that are said to be dated way back 500 years ago, but it is the home to European bison – the largest and heaviest land animal in Europe.
